Following the announcement by UK Prime Minister, on the 23rd March, it was clear that severe restrictions on travel and gatherings of people were being imposed. The statement said that travel to and from work was permitted but should only be for essential businesses. Whilst we consider ourselves to be an important part of the ARRK Global network and also an often-vital part of our customers design, development and production programme – we have to be responsible and accept that what we do is not essential in the fight against the Covid19 virus.
As a result, and to comply with all restrictions, we have decided to close our all UK sites with immediate effect. We are however still working where we can. We have already organised for many of our staff to be able to work from home and therefore sales, projects, finance, procurement, etc. will all be working remotely and will continue to do everything possible to continue to support our customers, suppliers and of course employees.
We realise this may cause some disruption to some of our customers who have current orders in place with us, but we truly hope that you will understand the stance ARRK are taking and the reasons behind it. Please continue to use existing lines of communication – especially email and/or mobile numbers, (land-lines may take a little more time to re-route). We stress that our staff are continuing to work from home. In addition to this, ARRK do still have facilities in Taiwan and China who are either still working, or have now returned to full working after having come through their lockdowns. All of these resources are available to support you where appropriate.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have to put the safety of our employees first. Please stay safe and healthy and be assured that ARRK remain ready to help where we can and we will be back to normal as soon as it is possible, sensible and safe.
