RIM Reaction Injection Moulding
ARRK's Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) service provides a very fast method of achieving an extremely realistic set of prototype mouldings up to 3m in length. This is a very cost-effective method of producing low volume production components e.g. niche automotive, medical or aerospace.
A rigid 'plastic' mould tool is manufactured from a rapid prototyped model or from a CNC machined 'A' Surface master model. Quick-curing exothermic polyurethane is pumped into the tool under pressure. The resulting mouldings can be used as prototypes or as low volume production mouldings.
