(SLS) Selective Laser Sintering
ARRK's Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) service enables the supply of tough, durable prototypes in 2-5 days from acceptance of CAD data. Built in Duraform polymide, SLS prototypes are particularly suited to functional testing in rigorous environments including high temperatures. Such material properties are normally only achievable within 10 days in polyurethane, using tooling created from a StereoLithography master. The minimum recommended wall thickness for an SLS prototype is 0.5mm, with little or no finishing required. ARRK also offer a Glass Filled Nylon material which is ideal for producing Architectural type models and given our capacity in this area a fast turnaround can be achieved.
For further information on tolerances, our material range and their individual properties please check our relevant technical data sheet.
